The portrait is one of the oldest and most fascinating genres of visual art—an attempt to capture the essence of a person in color, form, and expression. From ancient busts to modern selfies, portraits tell stories and reveal power, beauty, or intimacy.

In ancient Egypt, artists immortalized pharaohs as immortal gods. During the Renaissance, the portrait became a status symbol. Today, artists experiment with photography, abstraction, and digital art.

We remain true to the classics and present selected works of oil painting.
